Covers For The Cause Debuts Initiative With Honda Celebration of Light

By Music Heals June 20, 2017

For the first time, bands and musicians will have the opportunity to simultaneously raise funds for Music Heals, raise awareness about local music therapy programs, and contend for a spot on the stage at the 2017 Honda Celebration of Light.

A unique new partnership with brandLIVE and Music Heals offers the opportunity for one musician or group to perform on stage, during the August 2nd fireworks in Vancouver. The artist or band that raises the most money through our Covers For The Cause before July 17th, will be on stage.

Covers For The Cause is a new way for artists to engage their fans AND raise money for music therapy in Canada. Covers For The Cause provides a platform for artists to offer fans personalized videos of songs that they request by making a tax-deductable donation to Music Heals.

Artists build a fundraising page on www.coversforthecause.com, set the minimum donation amount for cover song requests, and decide how many requests they will fulfill.  Participants can record one, or record as many as the fans request. Simple videos of the cover songs requested include a dedication to the donor, and are posted on artist YouTube channels and/or sent directly to donors.

Artists have several weeks to promote their campaigns, engage with their fans, and start collecting donations and requests. On July 17, the Covers For the Cause participant with the highest amount raised will be playing on the stage at the August 2 Honda Celebration of Light evening.

Register your page and start fundraising now at www.CoversForTheCause.com

Music Heals will be on site at every Honda Celebration Of Light evening this year. See you at Second Beach!
