Let Her Sing 2024 raises over $120,000 for music therapy programs for women

March 11, 2024

Our 4th annual fundraising luncheon, Let Her Sing held the week of International Women’s Day was a remarkable success. On March 5, 2024, over 360 powerful and inspiring women gathered to celebrate the power of music for women’s physical and mental health. This year’s event raised over $120,000 for music therapy programs supporting women’s mental health, addiction recovery, and women working in the street-based sex trade on the DTES. The facilities funded through Let Her Sing 2024 are BC Women’s Heartwood, Charlford House, Coast Mental Health, Westminster House and WISH Drop-In.

The afternoon was a celebration of the incredible healing power of music. The event showcased music therapy’s life-changing impact on the lives of women and created a space to share some incredible stories.
Our favorite MC Erin Cebula hosted the afternoon. This year we heard an inspiring story of resilience from Bryn Erin Ward, a music therapy client and past resident of Heartwood Centre for Women along with Brittany Robart, the music therapist from Heartwood who supported Bryn’s recovery from addiction. The luncheon program wrapped up with an amazing musical performance by Zada, a Whistler-based artist who is playing SXSW this weekend!

This wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of our incredible sponsors, event partners, gift bag donors, shopping vendors and guests who joined us in making the afternoon so memorable. To all of you, we extend a massive thank you!
