🎼Raising awareness of the healing powers of music.
🎼Fundraising for Music Therapy services in Canada.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our Mus With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our Music Heals Founder and Board President, David Barnett.

David built Music Heals from a deep belief in the power of music to comfort, connect, and heal. Music was not just something he loved; it was how he brought people together. Whether through a shared song, a moment of listening, or an act of service, he had a rare ability to make everyone feel seen and welcome.

His kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others shaped this organization and touched countless lives. The impact of his vision will continue to be felt through every note, every session, and every person we provide with music therapy.

We are profoundly grateful for his leadership, his heart, and the legacy he leaves behind. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time, and we will honour him by carrying his mission forward.
Tiffiney came to Charlford House in June 2025 and Tiffiney came to Charlford House in June 2025 and participated in both individual and group music therapy with Rebecca.

At 41, she had grown up in the child and family services system after her mother died when she was four. She began using substances at 12 and was addicted by 17. Music had always been central to her sense of self, and when she stopped listening, she recognized she had reached a spiritual rock bottom.

Drawn to Charlford House for its music therapy program, Tiffiney found a spiritual solution through songwriting, vocal toning, somatic practices, and group connection. She developed tools to regulate her nervous system and continues to use these skills outside of sessions.
