See the list of ways to get involved and support music therapy this month
Music Heals’ mission is to raise money AND awareness for music therapy, so March is an important month to focus on the latter half of that mandate. March is Music Therapy Awareness Month, and we have a LOT of activities planned and cool partnerships in place.
Everything kicks off this Saturday with A Night Out For Music Heals.
Over 80 bars, clubs and pubs in 30 cities across Canada are donating $1 per cover charge (or making a flat donation of $1 per patron, for those that don’t charge cover) to Music Heals for one night. You can support music therapy programs in your province simply by going out on Saturday March 4th! Check the full list of participating establishments below.
Long & McQuade is collecting iPods in all 74 stores across Canada for the iPod Pharmacy.
Stop by any Long & McQuade store and drop off your good-as-new iPod, and it will be given to music therapists in the province in which it is donated as part of the Music Heals iPod Pharmacy.
Skullcandy is donating 10% of all sales through their website this month.
Purchase any Skullcandy headphones, speakers or accessories at Skullcandy.ca this month and our friends at Skullcandy Canada will donate 10% to Music Heals.
Tempo Renovo dry gin donate $1 per bottle.
G&W Distillery has donated $1 per bottle of every Tempo gin sold in BC to Music Heals for the last year, but now it’s available in Alberta. Proceeds from each sale will stay in the province in which it is sold. Toast Music Therapy Awareness Month with a Tempo.
