Music Therapy Awareness Month

March is Music Therapy Awareness Month. Here are the ways you can support this initiative: locally, nationally, and across the world.


March 1: Join us as we spearhead the first ever World Music Therapy Day, bringing together over 25 countries
from across the globe:

All month: $2 from any piece of jewelry sold online from Canadian designer Angelina's Closet will be donated to Music Heals. Online store:


Long and McQuade: All month, drop off your new or gently used iPods at any of the 74 Long and McQuade
locations across Canada, and support the iPod Pharmacy.

Skullcandy: Skullcandy is donating 10% of March sales on this month to Music Heals.

March 3: Join us for our biggest national campaign of the year, A Night Out For Music Heals. Over 100 bars, clubs, and venues across Canada come together on one night, to raise funds and awareness for music therapy programs in their provinces:


March 1: BC Place Lights Up for World Music Therapy Day and MT Awareness Month.

March 2: In honour of International Womens' Day, the Allegra Chamber Orchaestra presents an evening of female all-star artists, to raise funds for the music therapy program at WISH Drop In Centre:

March 3: Collaborating for the first year, TedXStanley Park will be donating 20% of all ticket sales from this link, to Music Heals:

Music Heals Event 

Join us for this session designed for teachers and students and get hands on in creating a project using GarageBand on iPad. We’ll show you how to record, edit and mix, so you can get students engaged with what they’re learning. Discover how to create inspiring projects that let students express their creativity.

More than six other music-based workshops open to the public will be featured on these days.

March 11 to 17: Visit Cartems Donuterie and choose one of the limited edition Music Heals donuts. A portion of proceeds from all weekly sales of the Music Heals donut will support local music therapy programs.

March 29: The next edition of the ANZA Live! Concert series, presenting local and upcoming musicians, takes place at the infamous East Vancouver venue. Door proceeds support Music Heals:


Tempo Gin: All month, purchase a bottle of Tempo Gin, and $1 from your purchase will go to BC or Alberta music therapy programs:
